como una disciplina que adquiere su carta de ciudadanía a fines del siglo XIX,
en el marco de una consideración sistemática en torno a los fundamentos de la matemática. Ello
no quiere decir que no se discutieran también antes de esa época, cuestiones
relativas a las supuestas bases del conocimiento matemático. Sin embargo, el
grado de consolidación temática allí alcanzado rescata un estilo peculiar de
interpretación de la labor del matemático, así como también del filósofo en su
tarea argumentadora en ese dominio del conocimiento.</span></p>
